How to find which JRE is being used by different browsers
Internet Explorer : (IE6)
Go to
Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> Java(sun)
Version of java being used by IE browser we can see here.
Firefox :(3.0)
Go to
Tools -> Add-ons -> Plugins
Java Plug-in 1.5.0_12 etc.
- And there is another general way from which all the browsers and its JRE's being controlled.
Start -> Settings -> Control panel -> Java ->Advanced(tab) ->Settings(tree)
<applet> tag Support
the browsers which are all being used that JRE will be enabled here.
If you want to Disable you can do it from Here.
If you have multiple versions of JRE on same system how do you toggle between these
Go to
Start -> Settings -> Control panel -> Java -> Java(tab)
1.Java Applet Run time settings.
2.Java Application Run time Settings.
Use "view" button to enable and disable different versions of JAVA available.
Some times same system has SUN and IBM JRE both.
And we are particular to use only one among these JRE's, then these are the different places where we can change usage of JRE's by browsers.

Whoever writes Inappropriate/Vulgar comments to context, generally want to be anonymous …So I hope U r not the one like that?
For lazy logs, u can at least use Name/URL option which doesn’t even require any sign-in, The good thing is that it can accept your lovely nick name also and the URL is not mandatory too.
Thanks for your patience
